The Frightening Fridge Foot
It’s the severed Fridge Foot of Fanning!
---Screams of Terror----
That’s right folks you will see it in all its glory, bone sticking out abrasions and all. All in its native habitat, the dorm room fridge.
Step right up and see the terror.
Well, I’m sure your thinking to yourself. Why is there a foot in your fridge Tiana?
The answer is simple. My suite mates.
Yes. My darling suite mates, Meredith and Rachel, put the foot in our fridge. Mainly to scare Jennifer. It’s a candy foot. Made from gummy. But it’s incredibly realistic. It’s been sitting there a week. I’m pretty sick of seeing it. So the foot shall migrate to Erin's room because she hates feet.
That my friends, is the chilling tale of the Fanning Fridge Foot.
Wet Week
This week it has been predominately wet. I has rained basically every single day. Everyone here is getting annoyed. Not me. I love it. It’s more rain than I have seen in my whole life. If I only had my rain boots life would be perfect.
These past two weeks have flown by.
I can’t honestly remember what I was doing for the past two weeks. But I can assure you. It involved a lot of homework.
One thing I do remember is last Tuesday. My LJS (law justice and society for future reference) Teacher took us on another field trip. We got an email several days before class telling us not to bring anything, no phones, wallets, back packs, paper, keys, except our school id and some $. She also told us we were living the life of immigrants. Needless to say, the whole class was terrified. She is the kind of teacher who would do anything, not necessarily in a bad way, but she doesn’t care if you’re uncomfortable as long as her point is getting across. We were afraid she would take us to the border and tell us to make our way across with out being caught.
So, On Tuesday I proceed to run through the most rain I have seen in my life to get to class. Everyone in class is sopping wet. My teacher comes in and tells everyone to put their ids on the table. She then proceeds to look at each id then had the person 5 $. She then tells us about the grand adventure we were going to take.
We hop in the buses and drive through the rain. We first arrive at a community center where a staff member tells us about the many different immigrants in
That is the end of our field trip. It turned out to be rather fun. I have written a plethora about one day so I will not bore you with another 5 million pages about the rest of the week. Love you.

On Tradeshows and fast food
SO This week has been incredibly long and busy. And I can’t really recall exactly what I was so busy doing…. Lots of Homework that’s for sure.
This Tuesday I helped my Law Justice and Society teacher with a tradeshow she was running. I sat at a table allll day and helped old people register for the 50 + tradeshow. It was thrilling I tell you!
The theater department has its own chapel on Tuesdays. This week the person who is choreographing our musical came and spoke. He is a professional choreographer from
This weekend I helped serve deserts for the play again. Friday I went straight from the play to the movie that the school was showing. We watched The Proposal and Transformers 2. I hated the proposal but I liked Transformers. My brain was going crazy because there were so many explosions. The movie did not end until 1:30… and I didn’t go to bed till 2:30. I was tired. Saturday I served desert again and then went to a concert. It was a free concert by Sister Hazel and Mat Wertz. I didn’t know either of them.
Want to take a guess of how many fast food restaurants a group of college kids can go to in one night?
The answer is 4. We went to 4 different Fast food places because everyone wanted somewhere different. We went to MC Donald’s, Burger King, Taco Bell and Krispy Kreem Doughnuts. Know where I chose? Krispy Kreem. J I love that place….
This next week will be full of classes. I’m going to one of my friends houses in

Longest Post Ever!
Well I’ve been in
Major: I’m currently double majoring in Law Justice and Society and Theater.
Classes: My favorite classes are 2 Society in the Law classes and a theater class. But I love all of my classes! The professors are wonderful. My least favorite class is my Bible class mainly because no one will answer my teacher’s questions except me.
Dorm: I’m living in a suite style dorm. We lucked out because normally each suite has 8 people in it but we only have4 people. Because one room is a storage room for the RA and the other was for the exchange students who left a week after school started.
My roommate is Jennifer and we get along really well.
Favorites:
1. I LOVE going to Sanctuary. It is a church service on Thursday nights. It is only worship music. And I love going to it!
2. The library. There are huge bay windows overlooking beautiful trees. Love to go study and do my homework there.
3. Maggie Moo’s is an ice cream shop. A large group of up us go there at least once a week. Unfortunately Ice cream= freshman 15….. But I love getting cinnamon ice cream with caramel mixed in.
4. Dodge ball. The campus life department hosted a dodge ball tournament. They brought in a huge cage and bleachers into our square. Each team was themed and there were teams like the Seinfeld team, dead celebrates, The Indianapolis Cults (which was a weird cult pastor thing), and the
5. The theater Department went to see Wicked so that was cool.
What’s ahead for me?
· A awesome concert with Keith Urban, Taylor Swift, Brad Paisley and a bunch of other big country artist.
· Working with the theater department in plays.
· Working out at the gym so that I can eat ice cream without gaining 20million pounds
· Working with Second Harvest food Bank for my community organizing class. Did you know that 1 in 8 Americans suffer from hunger? And that through Second Harvest your one dollar donation can buy someone 4 meals? Yes 1 $ = 4 meals. More about this later.
Interesting Facts:
o My cast is off!!!!!! YAY! Its been almost 3 months.
o Our wall is leaking. Yes our wall. LEAKING. There are bubbles of water bulging out of our wall and when they pop strange fungus is forming. Its really disgusting! They think its because of the air conditioners on the other side of the wall. They were supposed to be fixing it but so far all they have done is work outside. Not on our wall. My roommate is sleeping on the floor because the wall is next to her bed and it leaks on her hopefully this will be fixed soon
o No I don’t have a boyfriend yet. And I probably wont anytime soon.
o It rains here. A lot. And I left my rain boots at home….Silly me.
o James Marsden lives right next to our school. He is the actor who plays Cyclops in Xmen and the prince in Enchanted. I have yet to see him but apparently he jogs around campus.
Things I miss:
-Home cooked food. The cafeteria is good. But it just not home. And almost everything is fatting.
- Fruits and Vegetables. I’m just not getting enough of them here.
- Air that is not humid. The humidity is annoying. My hair poofs and food goes steal.
- Mountains. There aren’t any here.
- Sunsets…. All you can see here is trees.
- My Dogs
- Surprisingly I don’t miss my bed. I actually really like the one I have here. Its comfortable. But that might be because im dead tired every night.
- Of course All of you.
Well I love all of you!! And I miss you SO SO SO much!!!! You have no idea how much I miss home. Hopefully I will be updating this blog normally now that I have settled in so that you can know what’s going on in my life. Sorry it was so long this time.
Love you all!
